Second half scoring by the Cougars were on runs of 1, 61, and 26 yards. LeRoy's lone score came in the 3rd quarter on a 1 yd run by Zac Condidorio. The PAT was not successful. The Jr. Knights and Blue Devils played an evenly matched contest in Batavia. The difference in the contest was Batavia scoring on an 11 yd run and 97 yd run-back. The Batavians made a great defensive stand stopping the Knights on the Batavia 1-yd line to prevent a score. Batavia managed 177 yards of total offense, 168 on the ground to LeRoy's 178 yards (149 rushing and 29 passing).

LeRoy took advantage with 5 touchdowns over 4 quarters before giving up one TD to Letchworth late in the 4th. All JV Knights saw action and the starters never quit even after coming off the playing field. They got behind their 2nd offense and defense and cheered them to victory.

Stats

Rushing: Farabella 23-124 2 TDs, Pacer 2-21, Horning 4-17 TD, Condidorio 8-48, Casper 12-42

Game 5 - Eastridge 20, LeRoy 14 - 10/3/02

Another deviation from the original schedule because the JV Warsaw Tigers do not have a JV team this season. Farabella returned after a 2 game absence to have his 2nd 200+ yard rushing game. The scoring was scattered over 4 quarters with LeRoy on the board in the 1st with a Farabella 8 yd. run. Swanson's kick made it 7-0. Eastridge scored in the 2nd before LeRoy scored again in the 3rd on a 1 yd. run by Rob Morgan. Swanson again added the PAT. Eastridge then finished the scoring with a TD in the 3rd and one more in the 4th.

Game 4 - LeRoy 6, Marshall 0 - 9/26/02

With the Perry JV squad folding, Coach Farnholz was able to pick up a good game for his JV squad in Perry's absence. Marshall was their own worst enemy as they had 2 touchdowns called back because of penalties. The only score for LeRoy was a defensive one with Mark Mullen scoring on a 15 yd. interception return.

Stats

Game 3 - LeRoy 8, Clyde 6 - 9/21/02

LeRoy went on the road for a tough match-up with Clyde. Making things even tougher, Mike Farabella, the team's main yardage gainer, was sidelined with an ankle injury. But Tim Andrews stepped up to fill the void. All the scoring occurred in the 1st quarter and LeRoy held on for 3 more quarters to get the win. Tim
Andrews scored on a 3 yd. run and then Rob Morgan, making his first appearance at QB, passed to Dan Sullivan for 2. Clyde answered immediately with a 70 yd. kickoff return, but failed on the PAT run.

Stats

Rushing: Andrews 31-157, Condidorio 7-40, Pacer 5-6
Receiving: Hinett 1-33
Passing: Morgan 2 of 6 for 36 yds.
Tackles: Pacer-6, Zarillo-4, Casper-3, Sullivan-3, Forti-3, Zinni-2

Game 2 - Cal-Mum 20, LeRoy 15 - 9/13/02

LeRoy scored as many points as the previous week, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Red Raiders. Cal-Mum scored in the 2nd quarter on a 34 yd. pass with the run after failing. Mike Farabella then answered in the 3rd with a 60 yd. run to add to his total of 216 yds. on the night. In the 4th LR took the lead on a Farabella 5 yd. run. LeRoy mustered up 257 total rushing yds. to Cal-Mum's 88. But 2 plays proved to be the difference - a 78 yd. kickoff return by Jeff Grattan and a finely executed hook and ladder play that Grattan also scored on was enough to secure the win.

Stats
