The LeRoy JV Knights made the long road trip to the Maple City to play on the astroturf and came away on the short end of a 38-12 loss to the Red Raiders.
Hornell scored in every quarter with 7 points in the 1st quarter, 14 in the 2nd,
7 in the 3rd, and 10 more in the final stanza. The JV Knights tacked on a score in both the 2nd and 3rd quarters with unsuccessful PATs to account for their 12 points. Hornell showed strength in all phases as they scored 3 times on passes, 2 times on runs, while adding a 32-yd field goal as well.

Game 6 - LeRoy 52, Bath 0

4 TDs and Chad Condidorio crossed the end zone one time.

Game 5 - LeRoy 30, Avon 20

The JV Knights took on a quality opponent in the Avon Braves. It was a hard fought battle against a very good football team and the LeRoy squad had to be on top of their game to get the win.

Avon opened up the scoring in the 1st quarter with a 25-yd TD pass and led 6-0 after the PAT kick failed. LeRoy would then put 2 TDs on the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter with a Dan Horning run from 7 yards out and a 40-yd pass from Mark Bennetti to Mike Frew. The PAT on the first score was no good, but Bennetti's run for the PAT on the 2nd TD put the Knights up 14-6.

The Avon Braves came right back with a beautiful 71-yd run to make the score 14-12. Their attempt for a 2 pt. conversion was stopped by the LeRoy defense and the score would remain 14-12 in favor of LeRoy at the half.

Coaches Farnholz and King got their team fired up during halftime and LeRoy came out to score 2 more touchdowns in the 3rd quarter. Bennetti ran one in from the 3-yd line with Frew running in the conversion. Then Bennetti hit Colin Dailey in the end zone on a 6-yd pass with Bennetti earning the PAT points on a QB keeper. On most of the LeRoy drives Mike Frew proved to be the workhorse for the Knights. Frew worked hard to gain extra yardage on each carry and came away with 162 yards on 29 carries for the night. The big O line for LeRoy deserves much of the credit for the 222 yards of total rushing offense for the Knights. The LeRoy D came up big in the 3rd quarter and did not allow Avon to put up any points and the score was 30-12 at the end of the 3rd quarter with the Knights in charge. Avon would register one TD in the 4th quarter, but it wasn't enough and the Jr. Knights took the win by a 30-20 final tally.

Rushing: Frew 29-162, Horning 11-57, DiFrancisco 1-5, Bestor 8-5

Passing: Bennetti 4 of 5 for 82 yds

Game 4 - LeRoy 28, Letchworth 6

The LeRoy Jr. Knights did all of their scoring in the 1st half and allowed the visiting Letchworth Indians just one score in the 3rd quarter for a final score of

Mike Frew scored on a 4 yd run in the 1st quarter and the Shawn Swanson PAT kick was good to put the Knights up 7-0. Later in that same quarter, Colin Dailey caught a beautiful 55 yd pass from QB Mark Bennetti for LeRoy's 2nd TD in the contest. Bennetti ran in the conversion on a quarterback keeper to make the
score 15-0 in favor of the Knights at the end of one.

In the 2nd quarter, RB Craig Tiberio took a 24 yd pass from Bennetti into the end zone and once again the Swanson PAT kick was good. With just 48 seconds remaining in the half Mike Frew ran in another TD from 2 yds out. The PAT run
was stopped and LeRoy led 28-0 at intermission.

The offensive line of Tom Smith, Zach Murray, Andy Aube, Shawn Swanson, and Mike Pfaff gave Bennetti good protection throughout the 1st half as he passed for a total of 125 yds. Kevin Brady came up big on the defensive end with a total of 10 tackles, including 3 for losses and 2 sacks. The 2nd team worked most of the 2nd half and was able to hold off Letchworth for the most part, allowing only one score in the 3rd quarter. The Indians' PAT pass failed and both teams went scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Rushing: Frew 9-53, Tiberio 6-28, Casper 3-25, Horning 6-23, Bennetti 5-22, Bestor 8-13

LeRoy completed 2 long passes right before the half that could have resulted in touchdowns, but one was called back for an offensive pass interference penalty and the second one was caught out of bounds. LeRoy outdistanced Cal-Mum in total yards 320 to 242, but did not come away with the win as they fell to the Raiders 14-8.

Aaron Hallett was the big ground gainer for the maroon and white with 15 carries for 107 yds. Cal-Mum scored on a 1 yd run in the 3rd quarter and a 80 yd TD run in the 4th. Dan Horning was able to punch one in from the 3 yd line in the 4th quarter to get the Knights on the scoreboard. Mike Frew ran in the 2 pt. PAT conversion. LeRoy then proceeded to fall on the ensuing onside kick and retain possession of the football. Two pass attempts in the waning seconds of the game fell incomplete and the Raiders hung on for the win.

Game 2 - HF-L 21, LeRoy 6

LeRoy amassed a total of 212 yds - 196 rushing and 16 yds passing. HF-L had a total of 336 yards offensively and the passing game proved to be their strong suit as they went to the air 9 times for a total of 213 yds including a 87 yd touchdown pass in the 3rd quarter. HF-L's other 2 touchdowns came on runs of 3 and 12 yds. in the 1st and 2nd quarters respectively.
